Handmade details, regionally inspired elements, clean lines, and atmosphere light all inform the hotel and spa’s design.

Tributary Hotel & Spa

McMinnville, Oregon
5,600 SF

Designer Notes
The Tributary Hotel and Spa rests in the heart of McMinnville, a town known for its walkable historic downtown and deeply rooted wine culture. Here, time moves differently—the pace slows, food becomes a thoughtful ritual, and the craftsmanship speaks quietly of community. This setting, rich with agricultural heritage and natural beauty, breathes through every interior detail, creating spaces that feel quiet, local, and lasting.

The new lobby weaves hotel check-in with a café market, greeting guests and neighbors alike with curated luxuries from the Willamette Valley. Materials echo the warmth and rhythm of Yamhill County's vineyards while honoring the historic Arts and Crafts building that holds them.

Beyond the lobby lies the Wellness Spa, a sanctuary where natural tranquility invites guests to slow down, reconnect, and restore. Treatments unfold in solitude or shared spaces; steam rises in the sauna; daily rhythms continue in the gym. The interior deepens the lobby's warmth with layered textures that mirror the ecological richness beyond.

Two new ground-floor suites expand the hotel's offerings while preserving the luxurious materiality and thoughtful amenities. Together, these spaces ground guests in quiet luxury—rooted in place, attuned to season, wrapped in regional comfort.
