Woodland Community Library Grand Opening
Woodland Community Library Grand Opening
On Saturday, October 12th, we gathered together to celebrate the Woodland Community Library Grand Opening! Scroll for a few highlights from the event which included a flag raising, ribbon cutting, speakers, activities for kids, and a tour of the new library. Congratulations to the Fort Vancouver Regional Library District and to the entire Woodland Library project team.
Taking advantage of a large site, the outdoor design includes an amphitheater, children’s garden, nature trail, flexible lawn, terrace, and rain garden. Indoor spaces prioritize flexibility, growth, and accessibility to support a broad variety of activities and the needs of different age groups. Replacing an outdated facility in Woodland, WA, this 10,000-square-foot library is the first of two new libraries Hacker is designing for Fort Vancouver Regional Library District.
