Sarah joined the Hacker in 2001 and was named Principal in 2014. She is a tenacious advocate for evolving the firm while honoring its origins, supporting Hacker through leadership in culture and business practices. Sarah’s support and care for people reveals itself through the advancement of progressive company policies, cultivation of an equitable practice, and positioning the firm for growth and profitability. These practices inform the firm’s core principles and ethics.

The industry has recognized Sarah as a DJC Woman of Vision and SMPS Marketer of the Year. She has participated in industry events such as SMPS Conference Speaker and Conference Planner, SCUP Conference Speaker and Conference Planner, and Living Futures Conference Speaker. She was born in Eugene and spent her formative years exploring the University of Oregon campus while her father taught architecture, instilling in her awareness of how people, architecture, and the natural environment can live harmoniously.
