Client Notes
Create the nucleus of a modern greenhouse complex for the College of Agricultural, Human, and Natural Resource Sciences, with state-of-the-art laboratory greenhouse space where researchers can cross-pollinate and find new ways to collaborate. Along with providing increased quantity and quality of research greenhouse facilities, the project should optimize energy efficiency, minimize maintenance costs, and provide flexibility for future growth and technology upgrades.

Designer Notes
Through strategic site planning and building design, the facility creates a strong central core and identity, while allowing WSU to fully occupy the site through future expansions. The new facility delivers quality research space designed to meet the latest in technological advancements for energy efficiency, balanced with the project's need for maximizing unobstructed daylight in the growing zones. Designed to encourage collaboration and interdisciplinary research, this innovative facility also supports WSU's recruitment and program growth goals.
